The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Societe Radio Canada is the national public broadcaster in Canada.
The CBC broadcasts in English on television, radio, via the web and on satellite. They operate an English language television service and a 24/7 news service called “CBC Newsworld”
They operate basically three radio services. CBC Radio One is a mainly news and information service with stations broadcasting in all time zones and regions across Canada. Most of the programming is from the national network with local/regional programming between 6 and 8:30 AM, noon to 2 pm, and 4-6 pm local time.
CBC Radio Two is a mainly music, arts and culture service operating over the air across Canada. CBC Radio Two also operates four “web only” music stations.
CBC Radio Three is a web only music radio service.
CBC Radio also has an extensive number of podcasts.
Radio Canada broadcasts in French also with a French language television service and 24/7 news station called “RDI“.
On radio, “La Premiere Chaine” is the French language equivalent of CBC Radio One and “Espace Musique” the rough equivalent of CBC Radio Two. (Personally though, I prefer Espace Musique to CBC Radio Two!)
Radio Canada also operates a number of web-only music stations.
“Radio Canada International“, CBC/SRC’s international service has always been under the French language division based in Montreal. RCI broadcasts in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, and Mandarin. They broadcast on radio via shortwave, satellite and via the web.
